How to Apply Online for SSC CGL 2026
The application process is entirely online. Please note that SSC has migrated to a new portal, so old registration IDs from the previous website will not work.
Complete One-Time Registration (OTR): Go to the official website at ssc.gov.in. (PDF) If you haven't used the new portal yet, click on "Register Now" to complete your OTR by entering your basic identity, contact details, and creating a new password.
Login and Access the Application Form: Log in using your newly generated OTR Registration Number and Password. Navigate to the "Live Applications" tab on your dashboard and look for Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2026. Click on "Apply".
Capture Your Live Photograph: Unlike previous years, you cannot upload an old passport photograph. You must use a webcam or your smartphone camera to capture a live photo. Ensure the background is plain or white, the lighting is sharp, and you are not wearing a cap, mask, or spectacles.
Upload Signature and Verify Details: Upload a scanned copy of your signature (JPEG format, 10 to 20 KB). Carefully preview all entered information, as corrections after submission require an extra correction fee.
Pay Fee and Submit Application: Pay the application fee of ₹100 online (via Net Banking, UPI, or Credit/Debit Cards) if applicable. Submit the form and download a PDF copy of your confirmation application printout for future reference.
